As Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing activities related to the company products and services, including procurement, warehousing, international operations and special SCM projects. Your primary duties include improving productivity and efficiency, reducing costs and securing high-quality materials for the company. The SCM duties include training new employees in how to use proper software and monitoring compliance with safety standards. Also, is responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods, products or supplies through the company supply chains.

RESPONSABILITIES:

• Identify and mitigate potential risks during the supply chain process. Propose and implement appropriate strategies and procedures to minimize potential risks on shortage, surplus, delays, budget overruns, or quality issues.
• Create and update supply chain process and procedure in line with best practices, company policies, standards, laws and regulations.
• Establish warehouse best practices, programs and protocols to achieve an efficient warehouse operation (Example: implementation of 5S' methodology).
• Negotiate terms and prices with suppliers and freight companies, monitoring and assessing their performance while maintaining cost-effective practices.
• Implementing supply chain strategies, tracking goods from origin to the warehouse or until it reaches the destination.
• Manage new orders with suppliers and manufacturers to keep warehouses inventory at the most efficient stock level.
• Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization for existing and new warehouse locations.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with vendors.
• Manage warehouse and purchasing agents, ensuring the safe use of equipment, constant training and improvements.
• Manage the inventory of each warehouse (branch), including the inventory transfers and cycle counts.
• Manage workplace and lead training initiatives to improve employee's performance.
• Stay updated on industry trends, products, and technologies related to residential construction purchasing and warehousing. Suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency and performance.
• Foster continue improvements.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or similar field.
• +6 years of experience managing supply chain areas, including international operations.
• Familiarity with safety regulations, including those outlined by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
• Experience in implementing lean strategies, including 5S, across multi-site warehouse operations.
• Understanding of procedural best practices in supply chain management.
• Ability to lead, train and mentor employees individually and as a team.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Analyzing supply chain data and performance.
• Proficiency with supply chain management software and data analytics tools

Pay:

$85,000-$95,000
