Job Title: IT Consultant - Engineering System Architecture Support Coordination

Location: New York City Area

Must be a U.S. Citizen 

Part-time as needed, on occasions may need to be in office on-site in Freeport, NY

Consultant tasks for Application Management/Maintenance may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Engineering System Architecture Support Coordination:

a. With Port Authority technical support resources on all operational aspects of Engineering applications regarding operating system management; including application management and change management activities to ensure operational stability of Engineering applications.

b. Integration of Engineering application systems and Engineering application servers, including maintenance of the applications as well as user support and operational oversight of the application management and support processes.

c. Serving as liaison with various Authority Technology Department (TD) groups (Networking, Enterprise Architecture), Security Operations & Programs and the Office of Emergency Management (OEM) on security standards and implementation strategies for engineering applications

d. Provide strategy and guidance to the Engineering Department regarding “Cloud” technologies – specifically “Azure Cloud” requirements. Help design a blueprint/road map to move into a Cloud or Hybrid Cloud environment.

e. Coordination of activities through weekly change management meetings for all production related application changes. Provide the expertise to integrate and administer a “Azure DevOps” production environment using MS Azure tools and services.
