Salary: $1920 / Week Amergis Staffing is currently seeking an Unlicensed SocialWorker/Counselor/Mental Health Clinician for the 2024/2025 school year in the SantaMaria, CA area. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: + Provides necessary counseling as required for thepatient/client + Assesses the patient/clients' psychosocial needs, andevaluate the progress with the care team and/or supervisor + Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and evaluate goalsfor each patient/client + Focuses on assisting patients/clients through the dischargeprocess of both in and out-patient treatment facilities as applicable + Utilizes a variety of therapy techniques and treatment plans + Facilitates patient progress and referrals with otheragencies + Adheres to all Amergis and Facility policies andprocedures + Observes and reports patient/client progress per facilityprotocol + Performs other duties as assigned/necessary Minimum Requirements: + Licensing/Certification according to state/facility/contractrequirements + The Counselor may possess an Associate's Degree, Bachelor'sDegree or Master's Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Counseling,Nursing or other Human Development Major + Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice + Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency programwhen applicable + Current CPR if applicable + TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable + Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation) + Must meet all federal, state and local requirements + Successful completion of new hire training as applicable tojob site + Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAArequirements + Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to andfrom appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors,co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in theEnglish language is required + Computer proficiency required + Must be at least 18 years of age Benefits At Amergis, we firmly believe that our employees are the heartbeat of our organization and we are happy to offer the following benefits: + Competitive pay & weekly paychecks + Health, dental, vision, and life insurance + 401(k) savings plan + Awards and recognition programs *Benefit eligibility is dependent on employment status.
