Inland Marine 

Allied World’s Inland Marine division provides flexible and comprehensive insurance solutions for the trucking industry. Our experienced underwriters tailor coverage to the unique needs of customers and address any midterm changes to business operations such as organic growth, acquisitions and new contracts.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform account analysis according to Allied World Inland Marine guidelines
• Develop account pricing/ structure/ make recommendations
• Perform and document referrals
• Prepare quotes, binders, underwriting worksheets within company guidelines
• Maintain files in an orderly manner consistent with company guidelines
• Attend client meetings, lunches, dinners, and other outings as applicable
• Market to brokers within assigned region and engage in production meetings
• Work with legal department for manuscript wording analysis and preparation as needed
• Interact with senior management on referral items

Requirements

· Excellent communication skills both internally and externally

· Ability to work independently in a fast paced, high pressure environment

·0-3 years of experience in Inland Marine underwriting

· Bachelor’s degree

· Proficient in Microsoft applications including Word, Outlook, and Excel

· Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task

· Willingness to travel for client meetings and broker visits throughout the assigned region
