Heritage Title, managed by publicly traded underwriter Investors Title Insurance Company, has an opportunity for someone who enjoys providing top-notch customer service, has excellent computer skills and outstanding attention to detail. We are seeking a Title Insurance Underwriter to join our high performing, service-oriented team.

Position Highlights:

• Receive and respond to customer inquiries requesting status, rate quotes, title defects, clearing exceptions or general information.
• Review search/title opinion to determine status of title, risk analysis and underwriting requirements and exceptions.
• Underwrite and type commitments, policies and endorsements according to agency goal.
• Produce daily and monthly reports as indicated by Marketing/Operations Officer.
• Maintain inventory of policy jackets, forms and promotional items.

Position Qualifications:

• Solid computer and typing skills.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Prior experience in real estate transactions, underwriting as it relates to title insurance, mortgage lending, legal support and/or loan processing PREFERRED.
• Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, organize workload, and maintain accurate files.
