Job Description



Visa Technology & Operations LLC, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Sr. Site Reliability Engineer (multiple openings) in Austin, TX to

  • Provide 24/7 support to critical application pipelines running in Big Data Technology Stack.
  • Develop required Audits and alerts to detect problems from real time dataflow.
  • Develop Superset Graphs for data visualization as per user requirements.
  • Enhance the existing application based on the User requirement.
  • Identify improvement opportunities, and build Automation as well as engage in performance tuning.
  • Analyze code, understand business rules, and trace data, while following the process flow to investigate data-related issues.
  • Work closely with all stakeholders jointly on key deliverables ensuring production scalability and stability.
  • Work on various automation processes for monitoring Dataflow.
  • Position reports to the Employer’s Austin, Texas office and may allow for partial telecommuting.

Qualifications

:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field, followed by 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a site reliability engineer or software engineer-related occupation.
  • Alternatively, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field, and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a site reliability engineer or software engineer-related occupation.
  • Java or J2EE.
  • Python.
  • Hadoop.
  • Kafka.
  • Big Data Security Features (Kerberos & TLS/SSL).
  • CI/CD pipeline to deploy code changes.
  • Linux or Unix OS Services.
  • Shell scripting.

Worksite: Austin, TX

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Travel Requirements:  This position does not require travel.

Mental/Physical Requirements:  This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $134,285.00 USD to $164,100.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
