Job Description

We are seeking a Special Education Teacher to fill a leave replacement position in a K-12 school located in Edison, NJ. This contract opportunity requires a highly qualified educator with expertise in both Math and Science to support students with special needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized instruction and support to students with disabilities in compliance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet the learning needs of students.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to foster an inclusive learning environment.
• Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining accurate records and reporting as required.
• Foster a positive and engaging classroom atmosphere tailored to students abilities and goals.

Qualifications:

• Valid Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSD) certification is required.
• Highly qualified in Math and Science, with experience teaching these subjects within special education settings.
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement effective instructional strategies.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Assignment Details:

• Contract duration from September 23, 2025, through April 27, 2026.
• Position serving K-12 students on a leave replacement basis.
• Location: Edison, NJ.
