Job Description

We are seeking a D365 F&O Implementation Consultant to support the rollout of our ERP system in the United States. The consultant will be responsible for assisting with VAT setup, end-user training, and ensuring a seamless implementation of the system. This role requires an understanding of financial processes, tax compliance, and intercompany transactions within D365 Finance & Operations (F&O).

Job Title: D365 F&O Implementation Consultant (Finance & Tax Specialist)

Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid)

Employment Type: Contract

Start : Immediately 1 day in a week + 3/4 days in the week after 1 June (GO-LIVE)

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing two U.S.-based entities (US01 & US02) within D365 F&O.
• Configure and align General Ledger setup (Chart of Accounts, Financial Dimensions, Account Structure, Fiscal Calendar) based on the Dutch entity model.
• Set up accounting and reporting currency in US Dollars.
• Implement a two-level intercompany chain process:
• Support external consultants in setting up tax configurations (D365 F&O or Avalara).
• Ensure compliance with U.S. and cross-border tax regulations.
• Provide training and guidance to end users (3 key users).
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) in collaboration with key users in the U.S.
• Develop templates, documentation, and best practices for the rollout.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Proven experience with D365 Finance & Operations (F&O) implementation projects.
• Strong understanding of financial modules , including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Fixed Assets.
• Experience with intercompany trade, tax compliance (VAT, Sales Tax, Avalara), and banking integrations .
• Knowledge of subscription billing and deferred revenue models is a plus.
• Familiarity with automation and integration processes within D365 F&O .
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and training skills for end-user education .
• Ability to work hybrid , with occasional on-site visits in the Atlanta area.
