At Dermatology Physicians of Connecticut, we specialize in providing comprehensive dermatological care to our patients with compassion and professionalism. We are currently seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our front desk team and be the welcoming face of our practice.

The Medical Receptionist will be responsible for managing front desk operations including greeting patients, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, handling patient records, and assisting with administrative tasks. This role is vital in ensuring a smooth, efficient, and positive experience for all patients.

• Greet patients warmly and check them in/out efficiently

• Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and route calls appropriately

• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments

• Verify patient insurance coverage and collect co-pays

• Maintain and update patient records and documentation

• Process referrals and prior authorizations as needed

• Ensure waiting area and front desk are clean and organized

• Communicate effectively with medical staff and patients

• Handle sensitive patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)

• Previous experience in a medical office or dermatology practice (preferred)

• Knowledge of medical terminology and electronic medical records (EMR) systems (e.g., ModMed, EPIC, etc.)

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
