Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated Material Specialist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This role combines business acumen with hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, supporting the efficient flow of materials on the shop floor. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in business principles, solid computer skills, and a willingness to work closely with production teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage material flow and inventory within the manufacturing facility
Collaborate with production teams to ensure timely availability of materials
Utilize MS Excel and other tools for tracking, reporting, and analysis
Spend approximately 50% of time working on the shop floor to support operations
Adhere to safety protocols, including wearing metatarsal protection as required
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to materials management
Travel between sites for meetings as needed, using a personal vehicle
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business-related field or equivalent
3–5 years of relevant work experience preferred; recent graduates with strong skills are welcome
Manufacturing experience is a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
No gaps in employment history
Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and off-shift hours as required
Reliable transportation for inter-site travel
Ability to comply with safety requirements on the shop floor
