Job Title: Healthcare Data Architect

Location: Palo Alto, CA Onsite

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Architect with a strong technical background, particularly in application architecture, integration, and healthcare domain knowledge. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in EPIC systems, Snowflake, Python, Databricks, Azure, and Workday, and will play a crucial role in designing and implementing data solutions within a healthcare-focused environment.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with business-facing leaders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data architectures that meet business needs and adhere to industry best practices.
• Architect and implement data integration solutions to ensure seamless connectivity between various systems and applications, with a particular emphasis on EPIC integration.
• Utilize EPIC knowledge to design and optimize data models and structures tailored to healthcare data requirements.
• Leverage Snowflake as the primary data platform to build robust and scalable data pipelines and warehouses.
• Develop custom Python scripts and applications to automate data processes, enhance data quality, and facilitate analytics.
• Utilize Azure services and infrastructure for cloud-based data storage, processing, and analytics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of data architecture with overall business objectives and technical strategies.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in data architecture and healthcare informatics, and recommend innovative solutions to drive business value.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Proven experience (5 years) as a Data Architect or similar role, with a focus on application architecture and integration, preferably within the healthcare industry.
• Extensive expertise in EPIC systems, including data models, workflows, and integration methodologies.
• Strong proficiency in Snowflake for data warehousing and analytics, including data modeling and optimization techniques.
• Proficiency in Python programming for data manipulation, automation, and scripting.
• Experience with Databricks for big data processing and analytics is highly desirable.
• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services, particularly Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data Factory.
• Familiarity with Workday integration and data management is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
