A specialized opportunity is available for an educator skilled in high school mathematics, with a focus on serving Deaf and Hard of Hearing students. This full-time, contract position involves teaching Algebra, Personal Finance, and potentially other math subjects to students in grades 9 through 12. Located in Norristown, PA, this role supports a caseload of approximately 55 students across four different classes.
Candidates should be proficient in American Sign Language (ASL). While applicants without ASL skills may be considered, they would be offered part-time roles and must provide their own interpreter. Experience working with Deaf or Hard of Hearing students is highly preferred, as is familiarity with special education, given that many students on this caseload read at levels between 1st and 4th grade.
