Job Description

This is a 1 DAY assignment. Please do not ask the Supervisors for an extension. When there are more assignments available, they will be posted within the Bluecrew App. Thank you so much for your interest!

ADVANCED BACKGROUND CHECKS REQUIRED: in order to be eligible to work at Maersk, you must pass a background check which includes the following:

• 1. County Criminal Search (Last 7 Years)
• 2. National Criminal Search
• 3. Sex Offender Search
• 4. SSN Trace
• 5. Global Watchlist Search

DRUG SCREENS & Orientation are REQUIRED at 2115 S 3600 W, West Valley City, UT, 84119. Most weeks, orientation is on Tuesdays, Wednesday, and Thursdays. There is one session each day, at 11:00 AM. If you arrive more than 5 minutes late to a session, you may be turned away. Office phone number: 801.265.1999

Once you complete orientation, you will be moved onto the job at Maersk, added to the upcoming 1 Day Projects, and eligible to work at Maersk in the future. You will be paid 1.5 hours of orientation pay, once you work a full shift at Maersk – West Valley.

The job will consist of the following: Picking orders by cart via tablet, and packing/shipping orders on tables with the use of a PC and RF scanner. Also hand-labeling orders by VAS job specifications.

Must be able to be on your feet for 8-9 hours.

Must be able to lift 25 pounds.

Breaks: 2-15 minute (paid) breaks & one 30 minute (unpaid) lunch break.

Refrigerators and vending machines onsite.

There are no lockers to store your items, please leave your personal possessions at home.

***General Requirements***

When working in a warehouse environment through Bluecrew, you may be expected to do any and all of the following:

• Working independently or in a team to pick, pack, and ship items
• Safely relocating or repacking inventory items as directed, up to 50 pounds in weight
• Operating machinery or other light equipment as trained in a safe and responsible manner
• Reaching, crouching, bending over, and other physically strenuous activities as required by the immediate supervisor
• Working on your feet at a fast pace for the entirety of the shift
• Comfortable working in an environment where there are forklifts, machinery, large trucks, and other standard or sub-standard warehouse equipment
• There may be a specific dress code, but if it is not listed, please make sure to wear close-toed shoes and pants.

It is important to Bluecrew that you go home in the same healthy state that you came to work in, so please do not accept this assignment if you cannot fulfill all of the above duties.
