GENERAL SUMMARY: At Central Home Brands, we are seeking a
Warehouse Associate for our
2nd Shift at our Sanford, NC location. This role is critical to maintaining all tasks in relation to picking customer order to select, clean, pack, palletize and load finished goods. Expected to be able to perform all aspects of the job as described below.As part of our team, you will be responsible for various tasks in the operations in a fast-paced environment, working with a team to meet tight schedules and deadlines in a safe and efficient manner.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - Ability to communicate and understand directions.
- Ability to perform duties with attention to detail.
- Ability to learn and understand machine operating and safety procedures.
- Responsible for tasks in relation to packaging, consolidating, wrapping and/or loading picked orders onto delivery trucks in appropriate order and balancing.
- Responsible for maintaining accuracy while consolidating or loading.
- Willingness to learn and work to the best of your abilities.
- Ability to cross train and take on other positions within the department when needed.
- Ability to rotate positions between various tasks in a timely manner.
- Multitask and prioritize work in an effective way.
- Ability to work closely with other team members in the warehouse or in the designated work area, fostering teamwork and collaboration.
- Help to train new co-workers on the department or other areas as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety and Quality standards, processes, procedures.
- Maintain a clean workplace to avoid tripping hazards or other accidents.
- Report any mechanical problems and unsafe conditions or practices to your supervisor immediately.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management to support all areas of the operation.
REQUIREMENTS: - High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance. Work extended hours, as required by operational needs.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., walk, stand, push, pull, reach, bend, stoop, climb, carry for prolonged hours.
- Must be willing to use/wear safety equipment provided by the company.
- Must be able to do simple math- adding and subtracting.
- Must learn and understand the quality level involved in the day-to-day tasks.
- Must be able to handle heavy workflow while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to become certified and safely operate the electric pallet jack, reach truck, shrink wrapper, and/or other required equipment if needed.
- Ability to learn and understand SAP/Scanner functions.
- Must be able to wear safety glasses, safety vest and any other personal protective equipment as required for the facility/work area.
- Must be able to work full schedule: Monday Friday from 3:30pm - 12:00am or Sunday Thursday from 3:30pm - 12:00am ( Schedules are subject to change ).
