Unarmed Security Guard PRO EM National Event Services is looking for guard-carded security guards for immediate part-time opportunities. This "work when you want to work" position offers flexible hours and pay up to you. Responsibilities Watch for irregularities, such as security breaches, facility and safety hazards, and emergency situations; contact emergency responders (police, fire, ambulance) as required. Remain alert for unauthorized persons and security code violators; approach suspicious persons and/or notify police as appropriate; may confront and detain violators until police arrive. Patrol assigned area on foot or in motor vehicle to ensure personnel, building, and equipment security. Examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure security; use client keys to open and close buildings; monitor closed buildings for unauthorized persons and suspicious activities. Prepare routine, standardized reports. Provide escorts as necessary. Inform and warn violators of rule infractions (loitering, smoking, forbidden articles). Requirements Excellent Customer Service skills. Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Effective oral and written communication. Ability to walk and climb stairs for extended periods. Ability to work outside in extreme weather conditions. Understand and apply numerous policies and procedures with discretion. Maintain accurate records. React appropriately in emergency situations. Ability to work solo posts (overnight shifts only). Job Requirement Must have a current AZ Guard Card. Applicants subject to pre-employment background screening. No felonies and no misdemeanors in last 5 years. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen. Pay Unarmed Security Guard = $15.50 per hour. Overnight Unarmed Security Guard = $17.00 per hour. Unarmed Guard Supervisor = $18.00 per hour.
