Job Purpose Summary: The purpose of this job is to be fully trained, qualified, and capable of assembling a complete and accurate tundish for use by the Caster team. Tundish Build personnel are also required to remove tundish linings and assist with stripping bottom pour ingots, shaking pig products, scrap recovery, and furnace sintering.
Tundish Build Personnel Duties:
Properly install the dri vibe floor, form, and side walls in the tundish.
Properly use the Bake-in-heater to cure the dri vibe.
Properly install and remove the tundish nozzle.
Trained in the duties to assist the Floor team in scrap recovery, shaking pigs, and stripping bottom pour ingots.
Trained in the duties to assist the Melt crew in the furnace sintering operation.
Quality System Duties
Ability to follow work instructions, complete training assignments, fill out forms and checklists.
Equipment to be used
Overhead crane, JIB cranes, Basic hand tools, Thermal heat measuring devices, Burning bar apparatus, Fork truck.
Hours of work on a given day may vary according to company production requirements
