Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with an active RN license and advanced certifications for a perioperative role with call and diverse surgical specialties.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Hospital-based Operating Room environment serving a diverse patient population
• Circulate in all specialty areas including Orthopedics, ENT, GYN/OB, General, Ophthalmology, and Dental
• Work schedule is 6:30 am to 5 pm, four days per week, with required call shifts
• Emergency and ambulatory/short-stay outpatient surgeries performed
• Opportunity to obtain scrubbing experience in addition to circulating
• Orientation sessions offered every two weeks
• Role focuses on the assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of perioperative patients
• Must be prepared to work varied or extended hours when on call and respond to emergency cases on short notice
• Work within a rural setting serving tribal and multicultural communities
• Limited shared housing options may be available and require an application prior to start; no family or pets allowed in provided housing
• Scrub attire guidelines apply; details provided during orientation
• First time travelers may be considered for this role

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active RN license from any U.S. state, Puerto Rico, or U.S. territory required
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing or operating room experience
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
• Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS required at start
• PALS certification required within 6 months of hire
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required within 6 months of hire
• CNOR certification required within 1 year of hire
• TNCC required within 2 years of hire
• Must be eligible to complete fingerprinting prior to start
• COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required, with potential for exemption after declination form is submitted
