Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Perioperative Circulator for Adult Surgery with Level I Trauma and acute operating room background requirements.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work as a circulator RN in an adult surgery operating room within a hospital setting
• Position is in a Level I Trauma unit
• Day shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, three days per week
• Care for adult surgical patients undergoing operative and invasive procedures
• No local candidates accepted; candidates must live outside a 50 mile radius
• Responsible for planning, coordinating, delivering, and evaluating nursing care for perioperative patients
• Duties include both direct and indirect provision of care, ongoing evaluation, and documentation for operating room patients
• Expected to individualize patient care based on patient health status, age, and procedure
• Must be able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary surgical team
• Position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Returning employees may extend only once for a total of 26 weeks and must have a 6 month separation before reapplying

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active RN license issued by Oklahoma or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Minimum of one year experience in an acute operating room environment
• At least 6 months of Level I Trauma experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Strong knowledge of AORN standards and operating room nursing practices
