Visitor/Guest Relations Specialist

Location: Mukilteo, WA

Duration: 6+ Month assignment but could be longer

Pay Rate: $20-$28/hr.

Visitor Relations Tour Guides serve as brand ambassadors and are responsible for learning and presenting detailed Client's content and scripted material to deliver enhanced experiences such as the Everett Factory Tour, Client's Backstage Pass, and other interactive presentations. This role also supports engagement throughout the Future of Flight facility, including ticketing and lobby services, leading STEM activities such as robotics and drone experiences, and interpretation of gallery and interactive exhibits. In addition to giving tours, responsibilities involve research, training, and other tour-related assignments such as providing executive and academic tours. Visitor Relations team members serve as Brand Ambassadors and must demonstrate active visitor engagement as well as capacity and enthusiasm for learning and sharing accurate information about Client's products and aviation concepts. The optimal candidate for this position will demonstrate a passion for customer-focused interactions among diverse audience groups. They will coordinate with other team members to conduct daily on-time business processes to support Future of Flight priorities.

This opening is for primarily full-time positions which will include work on weekends and holidays. Client's Future of Flight is currently open five days a week, Thursday through Monday. Operating hours are subject to change based on seasonal and special event activity.

Primary duties:

Engages customers enthusiastically; supports all aspects of visitor experience to enhance Client's brand and products. Actively creates exceptional experiences for a diverse audience. Creates a positive impression of The Client's Company, reflecting Client's values in all activities and in all contact with the public.

Memorizes and delivers scripted material and approved messaging to guests. Actively incorporates script updates and new content as required. Practices continuous learning with supplemental material and Client's Company news.

Leads tour and theater activities with up to 200 attendees.

Facilitates ticket purchases, guest greeting and briefing, theater tech and other operational assignments in support of these programs.

Assists visitors with general building wayfinding and services at both Future of Flight and Everett Factory sites.

Learns gallery and exhibit content and actively engages with visitors to share information accurately. Facilitates interactive experiences with public, groups and event guests as requested.

Proactively addresses and/or reports safety issues or concerns.

Works efficiently to optimize program timing/throughput with guest flow and works collaboratively on staffing coverage and rotations.

Works a flexible schedule which may include early mornings, mid-days, and evenings, plus weekends and holidays as tour and event schedules require.

Assists with evacuating guests during emergencies and implements safety training practices as needed.

Completes mandatory training assignments in a timely manner and participates actively in team training and meetings.

The successful candidate:

Loves interacting with people from around the world; is always gracious and hospitable.

Must be poised under pressure, maintain good eye contact, and have a friendly communication style, and strong customer service focus.

Demonstrates proficiency with managing guest questions and comments, and trouble-shooting routine tour and program challenges.

Is fluent in English, but proficiency in a second language is a plus.

Has experience with memorization of scripted material and teaching or facilitation of learning concepts.

Demonstrates ability to learn quickly and follow standard operating procedures.

Must be able to work at ticket counter, gallery, and other locations as assigned for extended periods of time; able to be on feet for six (6) plus hours.

Must demonstrate punctuality and regular attendance.

Has experience with technology related to events, exhibits, or POS (preferred).

Has prior experience with Client's and/or Client's Future of Flight (preferred).

WA State Driver's license required.

Must be able to lift/carry push/pull 20 lbs. on a limited basis.

Requires climbing/descending stairs up to 8x a day.

Driving electric cart and/or wheelchair accessible vehicle

Grasping and gripping requirement

REQUIRED SKILLS:

1+ years of experience in a role which required strong customer service and communication skills.

Presentation, training, teaching, acting, or facilitation experience.

Experience working in a team environment.

Proven reliability, punctuality, and regular attendance

Flexible schedule with ability to work early mornings, mid-days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Must be able to be working standing or walking positions for six (6) plus hours per shift.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

Experience giving public tours and/or public speaking.

Experience with technology related to events, exhibits, or POS.

Experience with Client's and/or Client's Future of Flight
