Job Description

A growing provider of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) calibration standards and testing equipment in the Riverview, SC area is looking for their next entry-level Technical Inside Sales Representative to join the team. An ideal candidate will have a combination of technical aptitude and commercial skills to provide quotations to customers, working closely with the Office Manager, Shop Manager, Sales Representatives, and CEO.

This position is expected to progress to a senior position over time.

Starting Pay: $18 to $22+/hr DOE + benefits (401k matching, Health/Dental, HSA, & PTO)

Responsibilities

Review customer NDT order requirements along with industry specifications, determine the correct product to offer, make or modify a representative sketch and send proposals to customers
Offer equivalents in terms of sizes, materials or detail configuration

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to read simple 3D drawings, including converting dimensions from metric to imperial
Strong math and geometry skills. Ability to create sketch representations of 3D parts
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Customer service aptitude
Agile with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Ability to research industry standards and equivalents. (UNS, ASME, ASTM, etc.)
Ability to juggle multiple projects at the same time while completing fast and accurate deliverables

Optional Skills and Abilities

Training in nondestructive testing, either through college coursework or on-the-job experience
Understanding of materials (Copper, Stainless, Titanium, Copper-Nickel, Chrome Moly, etc)
Understanding of eddy current, remote field, UT, IRIS and NFT testing methods
Basic AutoCAD, Inventor or 3d modelling
Work with tubular products or metal processing
