Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and driven Tax Vice President to join our Personal Tax Advisory Group in Northeast Ohio. This is an exciting leadership opportunity for a personal tax specialist to oversee the management of client relationships and tax engagements, with a focus on high-net-worth individuals and business owners.
As a Tax Vice President, you will play a key role in ensuring all aspects of personal tax engagement are delivered to client expectations. You will manage and develop a talented team, supervise complex client assignments, and drive success within the Individual Tax specialty. You'll work alongside a dedicated and collaborative team to provide exceptional services in individual, fiduciary, and gift tax compliance and planning, with an emphasis on International Tax Planning and Compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, overseeing the execution of complex personal tax engagements.
Leadership: Lead and mentor the Personal Tax Advisory Group's management team, supporting their career development.
Tax Expertise: Take charge of managing larger and more complex individual tax assignments, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws.
Tax Planning & Research: Provide expert guidance on tax planning strategies and conduct in-depth tax research for high-net-worth individuals and business owners.
Business Development: Contribute to business development efforts by identifying opportunities for new services and enhancing existing client relationships.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to deliver timely and high-quality client service, while supporting a collaborative and productive work environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.
Minimum of 15 years of related experience; advanced degree preferred.
Proven leadership skills, with a strong ability to mentor and manage teams.
Expertise in individual, fiduciary, and gift tax compliance and planning.
Experience with International Tax Planning and Compliance for individuals is highly desired.
Familiarity with flow-through entity taxation rules.
Strong background in tax research and business development activities.
Proficiency in tax preparation and tax planning software as well as Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
