Our client is a well-established CPA firm that specializes in supporting small businesses across a wide range of industries nationwide. The firm is growing due to continual work coming in from new and existing clients. They're seeking a Tax Senior to join their collaborative team and take the lead on complex tax work for pass-through entities. This is a small firm that provides ample opportunity for internal growth (this role can quickly be promoted to a Tax Manager), a variety of work for clients in different industries, and a group of talented and experienced professionals to learn from.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and review complex tax returns for S corporations, partnerships, and some non-profits
Provide high-level support to clients and internal teams on tax planning and compliance
Stay current on federal and state tax law changes affecting clients
Collaborate with team members on process improvement and best practices
Requirements:
CPA designation
4+ years of experience in tax preparation and review
Experience with pass-through entity returns
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with Ultratax, SurePrep, and other Thomson Reuters products
Experience preparing financial statements or assisting with attestation work
