Our client, a prestigious national law firm, seeks a dynamic Tax Associate with 2-3 years of experience to join their robust tax practice group. This position offers the opportunity to engage in diverse federal, international, and state and local tax matters, including tax planning and controversy work.
Ideal candidates will have experience or demonstrated interest in a wide array of tax issues, such as:
U.S. federal income tax planning
International and state/local tax planning
Domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions
Investment fund formation
Real estate transactions and related documentation
Tax controversies and disputes (voluntary disclosures, litigation, audits, appeals, collections) involving IRS, Tax Court, DOJ Tax Division, and State Tax Authorities
Strong academic credentials, exceptional research, writing, and verbal communication skills are essential. Candidates must thrive both independently and collaboratively within a supportive team environment.
An LL.M. in Taxation is preferred but not required.Location: The position is located in Chicago, Atlanta or New York City.
