Job Description

Position: Surgical Technician

Location: New York, NY 10003

Shift: Days (5x8), 7:00 am - 5:30 pm

Pay: $45/hr to $48/hr

Weekly hours: 40 hrs

Job type: Contract

Responsibilities:

• Provide surgical assistance in the oral surgery clinic and dental ambulatory operating room (OR).
• Escort patients to surgical chairs and ensure the medical record is complete before surgery.
• Organize and set up sterile surgical instruments and equipment.
• Take radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
• Assist during surgery by monitoring vitals, passing instruments, suctioning, and administering medications.
• Clean and disinfect equipment before setting up and during patient discharge.
• Respond effectively in emergencies.

Education and Certifications:

• Experience in sterilizing equipment and organizing surgical supplies.
• Associate Degree.
• 3 years of experience required
• Dental Assistant Certification and BLS (AHA)
