Job Description
We are looking for a Certified Sterilization Technician to join our team at the Surgery Center of New England. Must be CRCST certified. Responsibilities include reprocessing instruments according to MIFUS, including decontamination, cleaning, disinfection and sterilization, operating sterilizers and ultrasonic washers, running biologic/chemical monitoring tests, and documentation of testing and cleaning. This is a Monday through Thursday, 40-hour position. No nights, no weekends, no call. Come join our team and experience a greater quality of life.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES, TASKS, and RESPONSIBILITIES:•Maintains a clean and orderly central processing area (e.g., shelves, counters, equipment)•Ensures clean and dirty workspaces are clearly identified and separated•Adheres to sterilization process policies and procedures•Reprocesses each item according to industry standards and manufacturer’s instructions for use, including but not limited to decontamination, cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization•Inspects instruments under magnification for damage and defects; lubricates items (as required)•Determines whether each item is in good working condition•Sorts and arranges items into proper trays according to established policy/procedure•Wraps trays and individual items according to manufacturer’s instructions for use•Properly mixes cleaning solutions per manufacturer’s instructions for use•Accurately labels each item with name and sterilization date•Correctly operates sterilizers, ultrasonic washer, and other processing equipment (i.e., positions items correctly in sterilizer, selects proper cycle, seeks assistance when needed)•Checks equipment indicators for proper functioning•Performs required biological/chemical monitoring tests on all sterilizers and maintains logs according to established policy/procedure•Understands the appropriate response required for a failed Bowie Dick, Sterilization cycle and/or Biological, or Chemical indicator•Ensures instruments are transported to processing room in closed containers marked as biohazardous•Maintains inventory levels and accurate records•Checks for outdated items and package integrity of wrapped sterilized items; replaces items as necessary•Places items in correct location•Maintains adequate inventory of all supplies for the sterile processing area•Maintains/updates the instrument tray inventory list•Accurately documents count of instruments loaned/returned to outside sources•Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned•Attends required education...Creative Services to fine tune and master content Even willing to edit and process clips themselves if time pressed Help in getting... ...ideal For example, previous experience on how user capture audio/video on mobile devices, and share these experiences #J-1880...
