Testing Engineer (Telecom Domain)

Location : Preferably Dallas, TX Onsite

Open for other locations:: Mexico / Canada / South America / Remote

Experience Range : 3-17 Years

Job Overview :
We are looking for a talented and experienced Testing Engineer with expertise in the Telecom domain to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with a range of technologies including IP Telephony, Analytics, Charging and Mediation, SSP, and Packet Core. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality, functionality, and performance of telecom systems by conducting comprehensive testing and analysis.

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform functional, performance, integration, and regression testing on telecom products and services.
• Develop, maintain, and execute test cases, test scripts, and test data to ensure the quality of telecom systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, product management, and support) to understand requirements and ensure alignment.
• Identify defects and issues in the system and track them using appropriate defect management tools.
• Participate in design and code reviews to provide feedback on quality and potential issues.
• Analyze and report test results to stakeholders, including recommendations for improvement.
• Provide testing support for different telecom applications like IP Telephony, Charging and Mediation, Analytics, SSP, and Packet Core.
• Design and implement automated testing solutions where applicable to improve testing efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with telecom standards and protocols during testing.

Key Skills & Experience :

• Proven experience in telecom domain testing, with knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
  • IP Telephony
  • Analytics
  • Charging and Mediation
  • SSP (Service Switching Point)
  • Packet Core
• Strong understanding of telecom protocols and technologies (e.g., SIP, RTP, Diameter, Radius, etc.).
• Experience in manual and automated testing, including functional, performance, and regression testing.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Solid understanding of telecom infrastructure and service delivery models.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 3-17 years of hands-on testing experience in telecom or related industries.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote or hybrid work environment.
