A Special Education Teacher develops and implements individualized lesson plans for students with disabilities, ensuring their educational and behavioral needs are met through a neuroscience-informed approach. They supervise classroom paraprofessionals, manage Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) programs, and collaborate with families and professionals to support student success. The role requires participation in IEP meetings, ongoing professional development, and maintaining a safe, engaging learning environment aligned with state standards.
