Job Description

Software Engineer Location Huntsville, AL :

We are looking for a Software Engineer to support the IFMC AMD Mission Command Product Office, a government program office addressing Army Air and Missile Defense systems.

Your day-to-day work will include:

  • Working with both contractors, government civilians, and system operators.
  • Development of services and components that support data analysis of tactical systems
  • Development of prototypes to support new and emerging capabilities
  • Development of new or improved algorithms and simulations
  • Data analysis of simulation and field data from tactical systems

At a minimum you should have:

  • Must be able to acquire or possess (as well as maintain) a US Secret security clearance.
  • Must be a US Citizen and a resident of the Huntsville, AL area or be willing to relocate to the area.
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in engineering, science, or related technical field
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in software development with object-oriented programming languages such as C++, Java, Python or C#
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the year
  • Be a team player in a small group working under the direction of a customer
  • Effective communication skills with various levels of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and be a team player
  • Willingness to exceed customer expectations

You will be highly desirable if you have:

  • Software engineering experience in support of DoD programs
  • Experience with tactical command and control systems, weapon systems, or sensor systems software
  • Experience with microservice architecture, especially in large systems is a plus

Estimated Salary Range : $109,000-$134,000

The provided salary range serves as a broad reference. However, Intrepid takes various factors into account when establishing base salary offers, including the position's scope and responsibilities, as well as the candidate's experience, education, skills, and prevailing market conditions.
