POSITION OVERVIEW

Purchase goods, materials, and services the meet or exceed the expectations of the organization, considering price, quality, and delivery.

Location : This position requires on-site work at Gentex facilities. This role is not eligible for remote work.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Purchase goods, materials, and services that meet cost, quality, and delivery targets.
\n
• Request and evaluate supplier quotations.
\n
• Generate purchase orders that comply with company requirements.
\n
• Communicate any supply problems which may impact our business operations.
\n
• Act as the interface between suppliers and other departments at Gentex.
\n
• Identify risks and escalate issues when appropriate for mitigation.
\n
• Monitor market trends and advise organization with and issues that may present risk or an opportunity to Gentex.
\n
• Develop and implement cost reductions to ensure favorable Purchase Price Variance (PPV) targets are achieved.
\n
• Manage supplier relationships and insure two-way professional relationships exist.
\n
• Monitor supplier performance and provide feedback.
\n
• Direct and oversee purchasing activities to identify the need for specific finished goods.
\n
• Source and evaluate suppliers and contract manufacturers.
\n
• Negotiate prices and contracts to ensure favorable terms.
\n
• Other duties as assigned.

HOW YOU'LL DO IT

\n
• Knowledge of purchasing systems and procedures.
\n
• Good communication, negotiation, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
\n
• Planning, negotiations, and contract management experience.
\n
• Good technical knowledge of Purchasing and ERP systems.
\n
• Able to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
\n
• Able to work well under pressure and handle emergency and stressful situations well.
\n
• Maintain high level of honesty, integrity and confidentiality with respect to company matters.
\n

WHAT TO BRING

\n
• Bachelor's degree
\n
• 1-3 years of operations experience.
\n
• English fluent, and other language is a plus.
\n

\n
WHAT WILL HELP

\n
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
\n
• Oracle software experience.
\n
• Willingness to travel 10% of your time.
\n
• Commodity specific experience and knowledge.
\n
• Automotive industry experience.
\n
• Proven expertise in Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) activities, including due diligence, valuation, and integration processes.
