Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven SAP Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of SAP implementation projects. The SAP Project Manager will be responsible for managing cross-functional teams, ensuring that projects meet objectives, timelines, budgets, and quality standards, while effectively managing client relationships and stakeholder expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning & Execution:

    • Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of SAP projects, from initial scoping to post-go-live support.
    • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and resource allocation.
    • Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and key milestones.
    • Coordinate with SAP functional consultants and other technical teams to ensure project alignment with business requirements.
  • Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management:

    • Lead and mentor a diverse team of SAP consultants, analysts, and developers.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders.
    • Communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively to both business and technical teams.
    • Organize and lead project meetings, ensuring clear communication and issue resolution.
  • Budget & Resource Management:

    • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring resource allocation and costs are tracked.
    • Ensure that the project stays within budgetary constraints, identifying potential cost overruns early.
    • Manage procurement of software, hardware, and external resources as required.
  • Risk & Issue Management:

    • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, ensuring project delivery remains on track.
    • Implement effective risk management strategies, escalate issues as needed, and provide solutions to mitigate any negative impact.
  • Quality & Deliverables Management:

    • Ensure that SAP solutions are delivered according to project specifications, meeting business requirements and quality standards.
    • Drive continuous improvement in project delivery processes and methodologies.
    • Conduct post-project evaluations to capture lessons learned and improve future project performance.
  • Change Management:

    • Support the organization in driving change management efforts related to SAP implementations.
    • Ensure smooth adoption of new SAP processes and tools through training and user support.
  • Documentation & Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate project documentation, including plans, schedules, risk registers, and status reports.
    • Provide regular updates to senior management on project progress, risks, and milestones

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Technical Skills:
    • Extensive experience with SAP project management, including full-life cycle implementations.
    • Solid understanding of SAP modules (e.g., SAP MM, SAP SD, SAP FICO, SAP HR, etc.).
    • Familiarity with SAP project management tools (e.g., Solution Manager, SAP Activate).
  • Leadership & Interpersonal Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team management abilities, including the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Ability to manage client relationships and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills:
    • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
    • Ability to balance competing priorities, manage timelines, and work under pressure.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with SAP implementation projects.
  • Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies.
  • Previous experience in a client-facing project management role.
Work Environment & Travel:
  • This role may require occasional travel to client location.
