About The Role:

As a CBRE VAS Property Tax Consultant, you will meet the property tax needs of CBRE's clients assigned including appeals and estimates.


What You'll Do:

  • Act as the primary client interface for daily operations.
  • Communicate with taxing authorities related to appeals. Attend property tax valuation hearings as appropriate.
  • Properly communicate with client regarding appeal recommendations.
  • Review properties assigned to evaluate whether the property assessment value should be appealed.
  • Prepare and complete property valuation appeals. Develop new ways in which to more efficiently review and appeal property values.
  • Support the preparation of billing.
  • Develop ideas targeting areas for new revenue.
  • Maintain proper state property tax agent licensing.
  • Mentor team members as needed to support clients' needs.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred with a minimum of 4 years of client-facing property tax assessment and overall knowledge of property valuation procedures and related regulations.
  • State certificate/license as required by state licensing body.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to customers.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate complex figures and forecast/prepare budgets. Conduct financial and business analysis.
  • Advanced analytical and quantitative skills with ability to solve problems including several options in situations.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the VAS Property Tax Consultant position is $100,000 annually and the maximum salary for the position is $120,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
