Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Project Manager with a strong industrial background and a proven track record of successfully leading complex projects from concept through completion. The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years of industry experience, exceptional leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of industrial operations, engineering processes, and project delivery best practices. The ideal candidate will have experience working in the Paper Mill, process mechanical, or oil and gas industry.

*This is not a position for a candidate with PM experience in IT or healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the full project lifecycle, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, execution, and closeout.
• Oversee multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining alignment with organizational goals, safety standards, and client expectations.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, procurement, and field teams to ensure smooth coordination and timely delivery of project milestones.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, progress reports, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Monitor project performance, identifying and resolving issues to minimize impact on scope, schedule, and cost.
• Ensure all work complies with industrial standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Lead project meetings, provide clear communication, and facilitate decision-making across teams.
• Manage change orders, contract negotiations, and project documentation.
• Champion a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Years of experience managing capital projects without a degree will be considered.
• 10+ years of experience managing industrial projects (Pharmaceutical, Steel, Chemical plant or paper mill industry.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies (PMP certification preferred).
• Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and reporting tools.
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
