What You Will Do: The Pratt & Whitney Hot Section Module Center Manufacturing Engineering Organization is seeking a highly motivated individual to support Hot Section Module Center South as a Turbine Vane Finish End Process Manufacturing Engineer. Technologies with this Process engineer role include Laser welding, TIG welding, Braze, Laser Ablation Weld Prep and Heat Treat.
Process Manufacturing Engineer's responsibilities include:
\n - PFMEA and Control Plan creation
\n - Develop process for new product introductions and development parts and collaborate with design engineering and IPT
\n - Track, compile, and analyze data to understand process capability for decision making and generating projects
\n - Implementation of new capital equipment from specification and ordering through delivery, installation and release to production.
\n - First Article Inspection and control of manufacturing software
\n - Significant interaction with the hourly work force, tool designers, quality assurance, Integrated Product Teams, systems designers, Information Systems, and program assembly partners are typical of the position.
\n - Identify & implement shop floor process optimization & control methods to eliminate/prevent QCPC turn backs /escapes and reduce overall assembly costs
\n - Help create and maintain shop floor work instructions (including specifications, engineering changes, QAD/process control, and tooling definition/requirements.)
\n - Provide focused & effective leadership in eliminating EH&S/Ergonomics/Human Factors risks and addressing quality issues.
\n - Participate in CORE/ lean manufacturing initiatives

Qualifications You Must Have: \n - A Bachelor's degree in engineering required w/2+ years' experience.
\n - US Citizenship is required
\n

Qualifications We Prefer: \n - Bachelor degree in Welding, Metallurgical Engineering, Material Science preferred
\n - GD&T, blueprint reading
\n - Siemens NX - Drafting, modeling, CAM
\n - NC Programming
\n - Statistical Process Control
\n - Lean Manufacturing, ACE, CORE, Six Sigma, Red X, RCCA, problem solving, process control methodologies
\n - Process knowledge in Laser welding, TIG welding, Braze, Heat Treat, and NDT inspection techniques (FPI, X-ray).
\n - General knowledge of NC machines, spindles, axis, drives, scales (FANUC or Siemens)
\n - Technical writing, communications skills
\n - J/C Export Control Knowledge

This role is:
Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
As part of our commitment to maintaining a secure hiring process, candidates may be asked to attend select steps of the interview process in-person at one of our office locations, regardless of whether the role is designated as on-site, hybrid or remote. The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
