Overview:
Support COTS GNC team with Cygnus performance validation. Analyze Cygnus spacecraft GNC sub-systems in time domain and frequency domain. Analyze attitude control systems and attitude determination systems using Matlab and Simulink. Develop and analyze fault, detection and correction systems. Manage small teams to develop GNC subsystems to technical, schedule and budget constraints. Lead small special GNC study projects for CRS missions. Support Mission Operations and analyze on-orbit telemetry. Analyze rendezvous and docking related scenarios. Develop flight software in C/C++ using Rhapsody. Develop test scripts in different test platforms and post process test data. Develop GNC sub-systems spec.
Required Qualifications: BS Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (MS Degree preferred) with 7 yrs relevant experience in space industry
1) Proficient in C and C++ programming
2) Proficient in Matlab, Simulink and real time work shop tool
3) Ability to analyze control systems using time and frequency domain techniques
4) Ability to analyze and tune kalman filters for attitude determination and relative navigation
5) Experience with Earned Value Management System
