ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Installation & Fabrication \n - Lay out, assemble, and install piping systems according to blueprints, specifications, and building codes.
\n - Cut, thread, and fit pipes using tools such as saws, pipe cutters, and threading machines.
\n - Braze pipe joints with high precision, ensuring no leaks or structural weaknesses.
\n - Maintains cleanliness requirements for various systems throughout the fabrication and installation process.

Documentation and Planning \n - Read and interpret mechanical and general arrangement drawings, schematics, and specifications to plan the sequence of pipe installations.
\n - Work in other areas of the plant as may be required to support production.
\n - Perform work in a safe and efficient manner. Keep the work area clean and orderly.
\n - Maintain ISO-9001 standards.
\n

Safety and Compliance \n - Perform all duties in a safe manner; support all safety and environmental rules and environmental initiatives.
\n - Adhere to all safety protocols and standards related to pipefitting, welding, and brazing.
\n - Ensure compliance with EPA608 Universal Certification requirements when handling refrigerants, particularly in systems that include cooling or air conditioning components.
\n

Qualifications: Education - High School Diploma or equivalent; preference for those with a vocational degree or technical school training in pipefitting or related trades.
\n
Certifications \n - Brazing certification preferred, preferably with experience in handling HVAC gas systems or technical gas brazing.
\n - EPA608 Universal Certification for handling refrigerants.
\n
\n
Experience \n - Preferred 1-2 years of experience in industrial pipefitting, with a focus on manufacturing environments.
\n - Proven experience with a variety of pipe materials (steel, copper, PVC)
\n - HVAC Experience Preferred.
\n
\n
Skills \n - Understanding of piping system design, including pressure systems for steam, hot water, and chemical conveyance.
\n - Ability to use hand and power tools effectively and safely.
\n - Excellent problem-solving skills.
\n
\n
\n - Skilled and experienced reading and interpreting written instructions, bill of materials, production schedules and blueprints.
\n - Ability to learn how to properly handle overhead cranes and forklift.
\n - Ability to troubleshoot circuits and devices and recommend changes or improvements.
\n - Working knowledge of ERP systems.
\n - Familiarity with current NEC code requirements and interpretation.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: \n - Frequently stand, walk, bend, crouch, kneel, climb, maneuver, stoop, squat, grasp, reach and carry, or otherwise move objects exerting up to 75 pounds force
\n - Daily walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing for sustained periods of time, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
\n - Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines; using measurement devices; and/or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
