Description:
Birch Agency is seeking a Physical Education Teacher to join our team.
Birch Agency is currently looking for a dynamic and dedicatedHealth and Physical Education Teacher in Philadelphia, PA. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive curriculum that aligns with state standards and prepares students for success both in and out of the classroom. Your focus will be on promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy lifestyle choices among students.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum tailored to the needs of students.
Plan and lead engaging lessons centered on physical fitness, rhythm, dance, and both individual and team sports.
Instill values such as cooperation, teamwork, and sportsmanship within the gym setting.
Maintain strong classroom management practices that emphasize student ownership, teamwork, and a positive atmosphere.
Monitor student growth and progress in alignment with state standards.
Provide ample opportunities for regular physical activity to encourage movement and fitness.
Promote a physically active lifestyle among students.
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree is required.
Valid Pennsylvania Teaching Certification is required.
