Job Description

• Start Date: August 4, 2025
• Coverage Type: Clinic + Call
• Minimum Schedule: 2 weeks per month
• Call Requirements:
  • 1 week of hospital call + 1 weekend per month
  • Call Hours:
    • Hospital Call: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Mon-Sun) - consults/rounding, phone only unless in-person needed
    • Pager Call: 8:00 AM - 8:00 AM (by phone only)
  • Hospital Consults: Provider has flexibility to round pre-clinic or post-lunch, depending on schedule
  • No Discharge Notes or Care Plans Required
  • Call Type: Attending-to-attending only

• Days: Monday - Friday
• Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Avg. Daily Census: 10-12 patients
  • New Patients: 60-minute slots
  • Follow-ups: 30-minute slots
• Patient Age Group: Birth to 21 years

• Conditions Treated:
  • Adrenal gland conditions, Diabetes, Growth problems, Thyroid disorders
  • Early/delayed puberty, Menstrual disorders, Pituitary issues
  • Obesity, Low blood sugar, Lipid disorders, Vitamin D deficiency
• Collaboration with in-house specialties:Pediatric Neurology, Genetics, Surgery, GI, Pulmonology, NICU follow-up, and Development & Behavior

• Support Staff: RNs, CMAs, NP, one full-time and one part-time Pediatric Endocrinologist
• EMR System: EPIC

• Board Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Endocrinology
• State License: Active North Carolina medical license required
• DEA License: Required
• Certifications:
  • CPR (required)
  • PALS (preferred, not mandatory)
