Franklin Children’s Dentistry is a boutique pediatric dental office in Franklin, TN. We are looking for a fun, friendly, and hardworking team member to join our practice!

We are currently seeking a dental assistant to be a part of our hygiene team! Dental assistants that are cross trained for front desk are encouraged to apply.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Set up and break down of dental operatories
• Sterilize and prepare dental instruments and equipment
• Perform coronal polishing, take radiographs, and apply sealants
• Assist Dr. Robyn with restorative procedures
• Communicate effectively with parents and children to ensure they feel comfortable and informed during their visit
• Educate parents and children on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care
• Maintain patient records and ensure they are accurate and up-to-date

If cross trained as a front desk team member, you may be asked to help with front desk duties, which include:

• Maintaining patient records and ensure they are accurate and up-to-date
• provide insurance preauthorizations, verification of benefits, etc.
• answer phone calls and online patient inquiries
• schedule appointments and maintain the daily schedule
• greet patients
• check patients out and collect payments
• set up treatment plans and payment plans

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Licensed dental assistant with valid certifications in coronal polishing, radiographs, sealants, and BLS
• Minimum one year of experience in a dental office setting (pediatric office preferred)
• Proficient in dental terminology and procedures
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently

Schedule:

• Office hours are Monday-Thursday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM*
• Summer hours starting at the end of May will be from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM through the beginning of August

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
