Job Title: Part-Time Marketing & Communications Coordinator (per diem)
Location: New York City (Hybrid)
Position Overview
The Part-Time Marketing & Communications Coordinator will play a key support role within our Marketing and Communications team, working closely with the Vice President of Marketing, Communications, and Development. This entry-level position is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their marketing career to develop and apply their creativity in fun, innovative ways while making a direct impact on a mission-driven organization. Primary responsibilities include assisting with content creation, social media management, email campaigns, and event marketing support.
Work Model: Hybrid (Remote + Occasional In-Person Events in NYC)
Key Responsibilities
1. Content Creation & Social Media
• Social Media Management: Assist in planning, scheduling, and monitoring content across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube).
• Graphic & Video Production: Create and edit simple graphics, flyers, and presentation slides using Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva; help produce short video clips in Adobe Premiere Pro & Adobe After Effects.
• Storytelling & Engagement: Gather success stories and testimonials from program staff; respond to comments and inquiries on social channels to foster community engagement.
2. Email Marketing & Campaign Assistance
• Email Campaigns: Draft and schedule newsletters, event invitations, and other donor communications using CRM or email marketing tools (e.g., Pardot, Mailchimp).
• Analytics: Track email performance (open rates, click-through rates) and compile summary reports to inform future strategies.
• Donor Outreach: Support execution of donor engagement and fundraising initiatives.
3. Event Marketing & Logistics
• Promotional Materials: Assist in creating digital and print collateral for events.
• Communication Support: Coordinate event-related email campaigns and reminders; manage event follow-up communications.
• Onsite Event Support: Provide in-person assistance during events, including material distribution and basic logistical support.
4. Administrative & Coordination Tasks
• Content Calendar: Maintain a shared calendar to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with organizational goals.
• Data Entry & Organization: Manage digital assets, track campaign tasks, and ensure marketing files are up-to-date and easily accessible.
Qualifications
• Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree (or current pursuit) in Marketing, Communications, or Public Relations.
• Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro); strong familiarity with social media platforms and email marketing tools (Mailchimp, Pardot, Constant Contact, or similar).
• Communication: Strong written and verbal skills; ability to produce clear, compelling copy for digital and print channels.
• Organization & Time Management: Capable of juggling multiple tasks, meeting deadlines, and following through on projects.
• Collaborative Spirit: Eagerness to learn, adapt, and grow in a team-oriented, mission-focused setting.
• Mission Alignment: Genuine enthusiasm for CaringKind’s mission to support individuals and families affected by Alzheimer’s and related dementias.
Work Environment & Schedule
