Requirements

• Is at least 18 years old
• Home Health Aide Certificate
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Is able to read, write and speak English
• Previous experience as a Home Health Aide, CNA or PCA
• Must be respectful and compassionate with good bedside manner
• Is able to record messages and keep records
• Is physically (good general health) and emotionally capable of performing the job

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with basic personal care, including bathing, dressing and grooming
• Assist client in getting into and out of bed, transferring to and from a wheelchair or walker
• Supervise Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
• Perform light housekeeping duties
• Accompany client to doctor's visits or other appointments/errands
• Plan, prepare, and serve meals according to dietary instructions
• Assists and encourages client to follow and prescribed exercise program which may include range of motion exercise and ambulation
• Supervise client taking their medications
