Upper Elementary/Middle School Math Teacher

Sterling Classical School is growing and looking to hire certified teachers for the upcoming school year with a focus on Middle School Math (5th-8th) instruction up to and including Algebra I. This position is for the 2025-2026 school year.

Candidates must have experience in the classroom and have a working knowledge or be willing to familiarize themselves with that of a classical, Christian, college-preparatory curriculum. Individuals must demonstrate extreme organization and ability to multi-task with excellence regarding teaching to various learning styles.

Candidates should have the motivation to bring the subject matter to life in a creative and innovative approach so that all students have the opportunity to learn and master the various elements of our math curriculum. Candidate should be familiar with the teaching methods of Charlotte Mason and the benefits of hands-on learning that inspires high-level thinking while fostering a tremendous love of learning.

Sterling is looking for faculty members that are themselves life-long learners and work well as a team as well as under the direction of the administration. Candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree, years of experience in the subject matter being taught, and ability to work 3-4 days a week with the possible inclusion of an elective class and other duties around school (carpool, lunch duty, events).

Sterling enjoys a collegiate schedule to allow more time for families. Educators teach 32-33 weeks per school year and enjoy four weeks off at Christmas and one week in October, November, and March. Health benefits are available for employees working on campus with a full flight of class instruction and retirement benefits are available for vested employees. Sterling Classical School is fully accredited so years worked can be applied to those bringing over interest in public school teacher retirement.
