Position Description

Coyle & Caron is seeking a Mid-level Landscape Designer/Architect to join our collaborative Orlando studio. We are looking for applicants with strong design, technical and management skills who are passionate about working in the public realm. Specifically, we are looking for an individual with demonstrated experience in built work, including developing construction documents and participating in construction administration. A technical understanding for construction methods and detailing are important as well as an understanding of project processes and management from concept to construction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with teams and firm leadership through all phases of design and construction administration of landscape architecture projects locally and regionally.
  • Actively teach and mentor emerging designers in concept development, construction documents, construction administration, and project management.
  • Advance and curate the studios graphic standards and technical specifications.
  • Write and review draft reports and proposals.
  • Plan, schedule, and develop task and project budgets.
  • Manage project teams, clients, and subconsultants, including contracts.
  • Coordinate and participate in presentations to internal and external groups.
  • Develop community engagement strategies and materials and analyze/synthesize feedback.
  • Travel with teams to project sites.
  • Contribute to marketing pursuits.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors or masters degree in Landscape Architecture
  • Advanced skills and fluency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), Rhino or other 3D modeling tools and rendering software; Skills in Revit a plus.
  • Enthusiasm for working collaboratively with mission-driven, nonprofit, and public-sector clients.
  • Ability to manage interdisciplinary teams and client relationships toward strong design, technical and implementable results.
  • 4+ years of experience in built work including construction documentation and administration.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to take initiative and offer new ideas.
  • Professional licensure or on a path toward
  • Ability to travel nationally.
  • Authorized to work in the US through citizenship or work visa.
