Description We are seeking a Bilingual Medical Records Clerk (Spanish/English) to join our team and play a key role in ensuring the accurate management and organization of patient medical records. Job Responsibilities + Organize, manage, and maintain medical records in compliance with healthcare confidentiality laws and regulations (e.g., HIPAA). + Retrieve, update, and file medical documents both electronically and in hard copy formats. + Ensure the accuracy of patient information, including demographic data and medical history. + Assist healthcare providers by delivering records in a timely manner. + Act as the first point of contact for requests regarding patient health records. + Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and team members in both English and Spanish to address inquiries and requests. + Perform quality checks on medical record documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy. + Safeguard records against unauthorized access and support compliance with hospital or clinic-specific policies. Requirements + Language Skills: Fluency in English and Spanish is required to assist a diverse patient population. + High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required; additional certification in medical records or health information technology is a plus. + Proven experience in a medical records, administrative, or healthcare support role preferred. + Strong organizational and multitasking skills with high attention to detail. + Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and general office equipment. + Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality practices. + Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to professionally assist patients and healthcare professionals.
