Medical Assistant (Pediatric)
Location: Spring Hill, FL
Pay: $15–17/hr (Depending on Experience)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and certified Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) to join a pediatric practice in Spring Hill, FL. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, pediatric experience, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. This is a hands-on role involving patient interaction, administrative duties, and EMR documentation. A skills assessment will be completed during the in-person interview.
Key Responsibilities:
Room patients, including vitals, documentation, and administering immunizations
Verify patient demographics and insurance; prepare EMR charts
Answer multi-line phone system and schedule appointments
Coordinate specialist referrals
Enter immunization data into the Florida SHOTS registry
Process patient payments, post charges
Manage medical supplies, filing, and mail
Provide direct support to providers while ensuring HIPAA compliance
Requirements:
Active CMA or RMA certification
Minimum 1 year of medical office experience
Proficiency with EMR systems and Florida SHOTS registry
Competence in immunizations and basic clinical procedures
Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
Professional appearance: clean scrubs and non-slip shoes required; no excessive piercings or unnatural hair colors
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual in Spanish and English
CPR/BLS certification
