These experienced professionals provide administrative expertise, facilities management, natural and cultural resource planning, and a broad array of other professional skills that support the National Park Service through the Experienced Services Program (ESP).Positions listed here do not guarantee employment for any definite period. Enrollment in the Experienced Worker Programs administered by NEW Solutions is temporary. The enrollment relationship between NEW Solutions and the Enrollee is an ?at-will? relationship. An ?Enrollee? is a participant in a grant program established through a Cooperative Agreement funded by the agency and administered by NEW Solutions.This opportunity applies to applicants legally eligible to work in the United States.Qualifications:BA/BS Degree with minimum additional experience of 5 year(s) in stone mason craftmanshipExperience required with WindowsDuties:Mason will work with students to develop skills in brick/stone laying and repair of brick/stone buildings at NPS sites in NYC.Enrollee will plan, organize, and run a 4-day intensive program with 6-8 students during February and/or spring break.20%Enrollee will plan, organize and run a 1 day Family Program on a holiday or weekend.20%Enrollee will provide a one day Mather Staff professional development program.20%Enrollee will plan, organize and run a 24 day summer program.20%Enrollee will work with Mather High School post graduate interns to build masonry competence.20%Other:Travel Requirements: Travel will be required for the presentation of programs at the different locationsOvernight travel: 1-2 tripsHealth and Safety Considerations: Enrollee must follow trade safety practices. Required Safety Gear: Personal protective gear such as coveralls, gloves, safety glasses, respiratorsPhysical requirements: Enrollee will be in the field teaching and operating machinery and equipment.
