The Manager of Government Affairs and Policy for the Government and Policy (GAP) team will play a critical role in supporting all aspects of the team’s work on global issues, including managing projects, conducting research, organizing events, maintaining relationships, writing internal and external content, and building partnerships. This role will sit on the expanded Office of Government Engagement team in Washington, DC and report directly to the Government Engagement Head and Chief of Staff of the Chief Government Affairs and Policy Officer.Role:
All About You:
Experience working in the public, private, or not-for-profit sectors, ideally with a focus on foreign policy, international trade, or international business issues.
Experience working on policy and business issues in the private sector or in government preferred.
Outstanding written, oral, and interpersonal communications skills.
Proven track record to manage priorities effectively and efficiently in a challenging, fast-paced environment while meeting key deadlines.
Outstanding professional poise and maturity when interacting with internal or external colleagues at every level, all of the time.
Strong analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to conduct research, synthesize complex concepts, and prepare briefings for senior leadership, including written memos and presentations.
Demonstrated project management, organization, and execution skills with strong ability to manage deliverables and deadlines for multiple initiatives and teams.
Demonstrated interest in public policy, technology, current events, and the role of the private sector in the digital economy.

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. Washington, District of Columbia: $151,000 - $241,000 USD
