As a Machine Learning Engineer on our core AI/ML team, you will be at the forefront of designing and developing cutting-edge AI/ML models and GenAI applications. You will be working closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and IT groups closely and take an active role in effectively communicating the recommendations to senior management. If you thrive in a collaborative environment, are passionate about leveraging AI/ML to solve complex business problems, and are excited about the opportunity to make a significant impact in a dynamic tech industry, we want to hear from you! **Description** - Engage deeply with business teams to identify opportunities and translate the needs into innovative and practical AI/ML & GenAI applications (e.g., chatbots, text summarization, video processing) - Foster close collaboration with engineers and infrastructure partners to implement scalable, robust AI/ML & GenAI applications - Effectively communicate analytical insights to partners and senior leaders, providing clear, actionable recommendations - Stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in AI. Regularly research and present new ideas to improve the team's technical capabilities **Minimum Qualifications** + Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Math or a related field + PhD/MS in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Math or a related field + 7+ years of industry experience **Preferred Qualifications** + Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to tackle novel challenges, combined with strong communication and interpersonal capabilities + Proven experience with modern deep learning frameworks, e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow + Hands-on experience working with transformer-based architectures, e.g., GPT, BERT + Hands-on experience with RAG, LLM fine-tuning + Familiarity with GenAI frameworks and tools, e.g., LangChain + Solid understanding of foundational ML concepts including supervised, unsupervised and reinforcement learning + Experience with model deployment pipelines and serving GenAI models in production + Experience working in Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field + Ability to operate independently and lead without authority **Pay & Benefits** At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
