Our client, a nationally recognized Am Law 200 firm , is seeking an experienced Litigation Senior Attorney or Senior Counsel to join its Texas-based Litigation Business Unit . This role is open to candidates near any of the firm’s Texas offices , including Austin, Beaumont, Collin County, Dallas, Houston, or San Antonio .

This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned litigator with deep experience managing complex litigation matters, looking to contribute meaningfully to a high-performing, collaborative team. A portable book of business is not required , and the position offers competitive compensation and benefits with room for professional advancement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a high-volume litigation docket with minimal supervision
• Handle all phases of litigation including motion practice, hearings, depositions, discovery, and trial preparation
• Represent clients in court and administrative proceedings
• Conduct legal research , draft motions, and provide strategic advice
• Lead and mentor junior attorneys and legal support staff
• Maintain exceptional client service standards and ensure timely communication
• Collaborate across practice groups as needed

Qualifications:

• At least 10 years of litigation experience (defense preferred)
• Demonstrated trial experience and full-case management capabilities
• Active license to practice in Texas (required)
• Strong academic background
• Excellent written and oral advocacy , negotiation, and research skills
• Professional, detail-oriented, and highly organized
• Contract or temp-only work histories will not be considered

Salary & Benefits:

• Base Salary: $160,000 – $175,000
