PRIMARY POSITION FUNCTION/SUMMARY:
This dual-role position supports the Illinois Fire Service Institute's (IFSI) mission by serving both as an International Outreach Services Librarian and a Library Services Librarian. The individual in this position will play a vital role in coordinating international education and exchange initiatives, including visiting scholar and training programs, while also supporting the curation, management, and development of IFSI's archival and library services.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
International Outreach Services Librarian
The International Outreach Services Librarian is responsible for assisting with visiting scholars and training programs in library science, fire emergency management, and related fields within IFSI’s International Programs. This includes maintaining clear and consistent communication with the Director of International Programs and serving as the primary point of contact for assigned program activities.
Library Services Librarian
The Library Services Librarian supports data curation and digital collection development within the IFSI Library, with a focus on archival collections under the supervision of the IFSI Archivist. The role includes general archival and reference service tasks.

Appointment Information
This is a 100% full-time Civil Service Program Coordinator position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after May 19, 2025. The salary range for this position is $40,000-50,000.
