Responsibilities

  • Manage and prioritize the testing request backlog to guarantee both timely delivery and quality assurance
  • Collaborate with the Design, Product Management, and Product Engineering teams to incorporate testing throughout the product development cycle
  • Collaborate with the Testing Lead to achieve precision and meet expectations in all testing initiatives
  • Offer data-driven insights to enhance testing strategies and methodologies
  • Mentor and train fellow accessibility testers
  • Create detailed test plans, scripts, and documentation related to accessibility
  • Conduct specialized training sessions under the direction of the Accessibility Test Lead
  • Recommend strategies to minimize quality errors through consistent audits
  • Take charge of complex projects with minimal oversight
  • Foster a team environment that prioritizes cooperation, innovation, and respectful communication
  • Uphold and enforce compliance with accessibility policies and standards
  • Remain informed about the latest industry trends and standards in accessibility
  • Continuously develop personal skills in accessibility testing

Requirements

  • Degree in information science, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
  • 5+ years of testing experience in software or web development
  • 3+ years committed to accessibility testing
  • Proficiency in interpreting WCAG 2.1 (AA) guidelines
  • Background in using assistive technologies, accessibility-related software such as JAWS and NVDA, and automated testing tools
  • Knowledge of Azure DevOps (ADO) for bug tracking and management
  • Demonstrated capability to lead testing initiatives across multidisciplinary teams
  • Showcase of effective test plan and script creation
  • Qualifications in fostering process improvements and clear decision-making in uncertain scenarios
  • Strong communication skills with a history of high-level stakeholder interactions
